Complimentary to your Wedding Reception we are delighted to include a red carpet on arrival and the hire of the Thornhill Suite
We have suggested some menus but have an open policy and encourage detailed discussion in order to achieve a tailor-made occasion which is very much a hallmark of The Rising Sun Inn, so if any further different menus are required please telephone and speak to Mrs. Walker or Helen personally to arrange a mutually convenient time to arrange a mutually convenient time to meet

We would ask you to select one menu from the choices available , i.e. everyone eats the same, or for parties of under 50 we could do a small selection but you would have to agree to pre-order and let us have names and individual choices one week before the actual Wedding reception.
We have a Civil Marriage Licence and please speak to Mrs. Walker or Helen if you are interested in holding your Wedding Ceremony with us, and we could then enquire regarding the availability of a registrar as they are much in demand. The latest time they will book a ceremony is 5.00 p.m. as by law wedding ceremonies must be completed by 6.00 p.m.




We have included evening buffet menus which are available should you wish to hold your main reception with us, and should you require a Disco this can be arranged, our usual Disco charg is £150. As stated previously the evening buffet menu can be varied to suit your requirements.
Should you wish to make a definite booking a deposit of £800 would be required also an approximate idea of the numbers attending and approximate timings. Final numbers would be required 48 hours before the Wedding. The final Wedding bill will be raised for settlement on the day of the reception.


Expert flower arrangements welcome your wedding guests.

We would be pleased to recommend a Toastmaster to help with all the formalities, a Harp or String Quartet to set the atmosphere on your arrival, also during the reception if required. We could also put you in touch with reputable cake specialists, and a highly respected Florist for your Bouquets, Button-holes and Corsages
Our award-winning resident Florist would be pleased to discuss with you your floral arrangements for the Reception.
